F.A.R.O. was a web-based organisation founded in 2015 by a group of MSc students at the UCL Department of Security and Crime Science as part of EdVenture Partners' P2P Challenging Extremism competition. F.A.R.O. aimed to provide information to help challenge stereotypes and identify vulnerable individuals who are at risk of engaging in violent extremism, based on evidence from empirical research.As part of the P2P: Challenging Extremism competition, F.A.R.O. received an Honorable Mention, and was invited to showcase their work at the P2P finals, as well as at a number of other crime and security conferences.
