Gemio is a social IoT platform that connects people and their interests i.e music, sports. Our system consists of smart customizable wrist bands that can be designed on demand, BLE mesh technology that connects a crowd in a interactive light show experience, and IoT Channel broadcasting that syncs live events and media streams to fans. The company was founded by entrepreneurs with successful startup experience in s/w, h/w and consumer products. The CEO, Michael Bettua , was founder and CEO of a consumer brand company and held senior roles at two software startups with $B exits. The founders of those two companies are two of Gemio’s largest shareholers. The CTO is from MIT with a PhD EE and a background in rocket science and wireless medical devices. Lead investors are: Facebook’s first VP of Sales; the founder and CEO of Silknet Software ($4.2B); a founder of BladeLogic ($900M exit).
