GrapeGuru has created a solution to help wine consumers navigate both the restaurant wine list and the retail store ‘wall of wine' to find that they like and are ‘right' for their preferences. Using our app, consumers will be able to use their unique personal flavor profile and get suggestions for those wine currently in their location that best match their wine taste. This will take the intimidation factor out of the buying experience and eliminate the frustration of buying a bottle that is not enjoyable to drink. Also, the app will help consumers learn how to talk about wine, the flavor attributes that are important for their personal taste preferences, and provide assistance with their personal wine discovery journey.We're using our wine expertise and experience, coupled with our knowledge of building predictive models to create a virtual wine consultant for wine consumers – the GrapeGuru® App. Our app incorporates all the wine taste elements that a good wine sommelier or retail wine consultant uses to identify a consumer's individual taste profile before offering a tailored recommendation. It uses a proprietary algorithm to create a predictive index for an individual's taste preference. Using this index, the app identifies potential choices and suggestions that are ‘best' for the individual consumer at their current location. Additionally, the app collects a consumer's rating of sampled wines to update and refine their individual preference profile – an "intelligent" system that learns with the consumer as they explore wine.
