Magnusmode
About Magnusmode
Magnusmode was envisioned by Nadia Hamilton, whose brother, Troy, has autism. Growing up with Troy, she discovered that he learned best when having fun and through visual communication. Nadia created Magnusmode based on personal experience with her brother and working with others with special needs. Magnusmode's first solution, Magnus Cards, is a is an online and mobile program that combines a proven method of instruction (task analysis) and elements of game design (positive reinforcement) to enable teens and young adults to live with greater independence. Users team up with Magnus to create, collect and use digital cards to master activities step-by-step; for instance taking public transit, managing money, cooking etc. As Magnus learns, the user learns with him!
