The Mamuitun Tribal Council is a non-profit organization, born from the will of several Innu band councils to create an entity that would allow them to pool different services or programs. The Mamuitun Tribal Council offers adapted services in two fields of practice, organizational and technical, in order to respond to the development issues of its members and to support them adequately in their various projects.Its mission is to "promote the rights and interests of member communities, assisting them in the pursuit and realization of their local autonomy while respecting their particularity; and provide services that respond to the specific and common needs of members in order to promote social, economic and cultural development."The current structure of the Tribal Council covers activities in the following areas:- General Administration ;- Financial management;- Community planning;- Economic development;- and technical services.
